Well, folks, I'm finally back home following my surgery. OMG, it turned out to be way more than anticipated. According to my wonderful doc, when he opened me up and saw inside he said, "Holy Crap"!!! Needless to say, it became much more involved to repair my barely existant spine. Doc says he can't believe I was standing upright, must have been sheer willpower holding me up. Anyhow, after 8 hours of surgery and a ton of rods, bolts and everything including the kitchen sink, I'm done with surgery. I've got a lot of metal holding me together and wearing a very odd looking brace made of aluminum. I expect I'll go to Screamfest this year as some kind of goth bionic woman. LOL (yes, folks I'm still planning on being there.) So, thanks for all your well wishes and prayers. It was touch and go but I'll be back to business in about 6 months although not fully healed for a little more than a year. I'm scheduled to play a woman in a wheelchair in one of my next Fear Film projects.....how fortuitous! LOL And, Tara, if you're listening, I'm still hopeful to play that evil grandmother role, in CA or anywhere you want me!
Never give up on your dreams folks, no matter how many roadblocks are thrown your way.
Hugs to all my NON-"fair-weather only" friends. I appreciate you more than you know.
P.S. Phone calls and visitors are welcome, since I'll be housebound for a few months.
Love,
Trish
